Generally, Circle meets twice a month for 60 minutes (high school) and 90 minutes (college). However, because Circle is designed to meet you where you are, timing can be adapted to meet the needs of your students.

The ideal Circle facilitator has at least five years of progressive experience coaching individuals and groups. Even more importantly, though, Circle facilitators must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, an innate desire to build connections with others, the ability to facilitate sensitive conversations, and the ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge.

Great question! At this time, we are onboarding institutions of higher education and creating Circle groups composed of undergraduates, master’s students and/or alumni from there. At some point, we hope to expand this offering.

The ideal Circle group is seven to ten students.

No—the latter is a type of psychotherapy in which a group of patients meet to describe and discuss their problems together under the supervision of a therapist. Group coaching, on the other hand, is a collaborative and time limited experience in which a professionally trained coach uses coaching principles to support a group of individuals on their own personal goals. And, in the case of Circle, specifically, we are using tools and approaches from positive psychology.

Yes, Circle can be conducted both in person and virtually.

At the outset, three to five years of progressive experience coaching individuals and groups. On the soft skill side, the best facilitators possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, an innate desire to build connections with others, the ability to facilitate sensitive conversations (e.g., delicate, complex, and nuanced), the ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge and last but not least, a sincere interest in the intersection of one’s life experience (and all that that entails) and its impact on career planning.
